Evans, GA – Richard Patrick “Dick” Donnelly, 80, loving husband of the late Brenda Donnelly, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. John Kenney officiating. Entombment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Richard retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and the Korean War. Richard enjoyed swimming, cycling, and traveling the world with his late wife.

Survivors include one son; William Foster Donnelly of Evans, GA, three daughters; Heather Ann Donnelly of Evans, GA, Wendy Donnelly Monteleone (Frank) of Germantown, TN, Bridie Donnelly Hicks (Darryl) of Martinez, GA, two grandchildren; Lila Elizabeth Monteleone, Frank Donnelly Monteleone, family friends; Ron and Lynn Hartshorn.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to express special thanks to staff and former staff at Madison Heights Memory Care for the exceptional care that was given to Richard.
