Rebekah Anne Paulos Girton

Rebekah Anne Paulos Girton, 84, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. “Becky” was born September 17, 1940, to the late Harry James Paulos, Sr., and Kathryn Ricketson Paulos.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Girton, and two brothers - her twin Harry James Paulos, Jr., and David Richard Paulos.

She is survived by a host of loving cousins. She was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church.

Becky worked for many years as a proofreader for The Augusta Chronicle and in a clerical position at SRS. She enjoyed shopping, antiquing, and eating out. Most of her happiest days were spent in book stores from which she amassed quite the collection of books. Her passion was genealogy. For over 50 years she researched and traveled extensively to trace all sides of her family back hundreds of years. Becky’s enthusiasm, generosity, cheerful attitude, and sweet smile will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at St. Mary On the Hill Catholic Church 1420 Monte Sano Ave., Augusta GA 30904, with burial to follow at Westover Memorial Park 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta GA 30904.
