Paul "Robert" Williams Sr.

Paul “Robert” Williams Sr., 72, beloved husband of Dale Williams, entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025 surrounded by those who loved him.

Robert was born on November 19, 1952 in Barnwell, South Carolina to Paul Williams and Virginia Symons. He was one of five children.

Robert and his wife, Dale, have been married for 52 years.

Robert graduated from Evans High School in the Class of 1973. He worked as a mechanic for the Augusta Regional Airport for many years before retiring.

Robert was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a diehard fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. Robert also loved NASCAR and loved watching one of his favorite drivers, Jeff Gordon race.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Williams and Virginia Still Symons, and his son, Paul Robert “Robbie” Williams Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Dale Williams, daughter, Renee Stoll (Greg), son, Christopher Williams (Kayla), grandchildren, Camry Powell (Michael), Avery Stoll, Ellis Carroll, and Asa Williams, great-grandchildren, Camellia Renee Powell, Ezra Powell, and Noah Powell, sister, Patricia Dunaway (Randy), brothers, Mike Williams (Bobbie Jean), Ronnie Williams (Pam), and Tobey Williams (Teresa), and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Hammonds, Adam Hutto, Lean Walker, Rick Meadows, Ben Evangelista, and Tony Autry.

Funeral service and visitation will be at Platt’s Funeral Home at 337 North Belair Road Evans, Georgia 30809. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. In honor of Robert’s life, the family invites guests to wear red and black in attendance to the visitation. The funeral service will be held the next day at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 with the burial to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
