Mrs. Patsy Harris entered into rest on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Platts Funeral Home Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Larry Harmon and the Rev. Malone Morris officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Harris, an Augusta native, was a 1964 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County. She went on to earn a degree from Augusta Technical College in Administrative Management. While still a student, she went to work for the Richmond County Board of Education.
Her faith was important to her. She was a woman deeply devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived her life as a testament to grace, kindness, and steadfast belief. She was a choir director at First Southern Methodist Church before becoming involved in the formation of a new church. In 1983, she became one of the charter members of West Acres Baptist Church, where she continued to be active member.
She loved music, singing and dancing, but it was with her family that she found the most joy. She adored her three sons, who were the center of her world. She took immense pride in them and found happiness in every milestone they achieved. Her unconditional love and support will be missed.
She is survived by her husband, William “Billy’ Harris, her sons, Dan McLaughlin (Angie), Patrick McLaughlin (Dottie) and Tracy McLaughlin (Heather), her grandchildren, Zachary McLaughlin (Jessica), Brooke Jones (Charlie), Lindsey Lane (Payton), Elizabeth McLaughlin, Bryce McLaughlin, Kaitlyn McLaughlin and Kolton McLaughlin, and her great granddaughter, Macie Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Daniel, her husband, Robert Holsenbake, her sister, Billie Daniel Welborn and her grandson, Parker McLaughlin.
Pallbearers will be Zach McLaughlin, Charlie Jones, Payton Lane, Kolton McLaughlin, Bryce McLaughlin and Dakota Gergen.
Arrangements were provided by Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809 (706) 860-6166. Please take a moment to share your condolences by signing the online guestbook at plattsfuneralhome.com.
