Patricia Priester Lunceford, age 84, entered her eternal rest on April 21, 2026 at her home in Evans, Georgia, surrounded by family.

Patricia was born in Hampton County, South Carolina to George Washington and Marilyn Hiers Priester. She was a graduate of Hampton County High School and married William Earl Lunceford of Wilkes County, Georgia on February 4, 1967.

She was a homemaker, worked in civil service, and was a member of several Baptist churches over the years, where she taught children and used her gift of hospitality.

Patricia was preceded in death by parents, George Washington and Marilyn Hiers Priester, and siblings Laurie Priester, George Priester, and Henry Priester.

She is survived by her husband, William Earl Lunceford, her children Wayne Lunceford and Angela Lunceford Wren (Michael), grandchildren Andrew, Stephen, and Heather Lunceford and William (Kaylie) and Anna Wren as well as a great granddaughter, Dorothea Wren.

She is also survived by siblings Mary Graham, Jack Priester (Joanna), and David Priester (Nancy), and her sister in law Cornelia Wooten, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Evans, GA. with a designation for children’s ministry.

Visitation will be at Grace Baptist Church, 4945 Hardy McManus Road, Evans, at 2 PM on Friday, May 29. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM, led by Rev. Bryan Carter. A graveside service will take place the following day, May 30, at 11 AM at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 125 Hickory Grove Road, Brunson, SC, officiated by Dr. Michael Wren.
