Norma Jean Scott

Norma Waters Scott, 95, of Martinez, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026.

Born on March 9, 1931, in Gaffney, South Carolina, Norma was the daughter of Edward and Thelma Waters. She graduated from Cowpens High School in 1949 and, that same year, married the love of her life, Sam "Bill" Scott. Together they shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and family.

Norma worked for many years in the accounting office of Family Inns of America, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She remained active in her career until she retired at age 85.

She found great joy in the outdoors and especially loved gardening and flowers. One of her greatest pleasures was tending to her beloved tomato garden on her deck, which she took great pride in each season.

A faithful member of Kodak United Methodist Church in Kodak, Tennessee, Norma devoted much of her life to serving others through her church and community. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Fuller (Barry); her son, Sammy Scott; and her cherished grandchildren, Scott Fuller (Megan), Clae Fuller (Joe), and Jake Scott (Shayla McBride).

Norma will be remembered for her loving heart, quiet strength, deep faith, and devotion to her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the lives of those she loved so dearly.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Sodalis Senior Living for the loving care, kindness, and attention shown to Norma over the past two and a half years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
