Nelly Arroyo Lopez, 46, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Nelly was born in La Loma, Jalisco, Mexico to Pascual Arroyo Padilla and Reynalinda Lopez Velazquez on January 3, 1980. She went to school in La Loma, Jalisco and Cuernavaca, Morelos. She married Cesar Isaias Vences on December 18, 1999 in Cuernavaca, Morelos.
She was a woman who had a remarkable way of putting others before herself. She gave most of her time, her love, and her heart to the people she cared for, always making sure those around her felt welcomed, loved and cared for. Her presence brought warmth into every room, and her bright spirit and beautiful laugh are impossible to forget. She especially cherished her family, holidays, celebrations, and the memories created through traveling and spending time together.
She worked at Washington Commons, a retirement community, where she grew very fond of the residents she cared for. She would push herself to never miss work, not for the money, but because she wanted to make sure her residents were comfortable, cared for, and always had a clean home. Her work was one of the many ways she showed her loving and selfless heart.
Nelly is preceded in death by Luis Enrique Arroyo Lopez also known as “La Vanidosa”.
Nelly is survived by Husband Cesar Isaias Vences; Son Neftali Vences; Daughter Kyara Vences; Daughter-in-law Luz Elena Vences; Sisters Blanca Arroyo and Susana Arroyo; Brothers Daniel Arroyo and Charlie Arroyo; Mother Reynalinda Lopez and Father Pascual Arroyo; and pets Romina Vences and Mocha Vences.

Nelly Arroyo Lopez
