Nam Sun Kwon

Nam Sun Kwon, 68, of Gochang, South Korea, went peacefully on February 5, 2022 at her home in Augusta, GA surrounded by family.

She was a devoted wife to Kwon and a loving mother and grandmother. Nam was an avid cook and nothing brought her more joy than cooking for friends and family. She was also a master gardener and a member of the Augusta Korean Methodist Church.

Nam is survived by her loving husband, Kil Kwon; her children, Jill (Adrian) Riles, Johnny (Kristen) Smith and Dae (Epzy) Kwon and her grandchildren, Kyle, Janely, Elle, Kaden, Lola, Justine and Kylie.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809. Visitation will be 11am – 1pm with formal services, officiated by Pastor Jung Il Nam of Augusta Korean Methodist Church, beginning at 1pm.
