Scott Mitchell Adam, 68, of Grovetown, passed away on November 21, 2022 in Augusta, Georgia.
Scott was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Henry and Laura Adam on June 29, 1954. He went to school at Watchung Hills High. He married Tammy Taylor on September 1, 1978 in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Brenau University.
He worked as a Staff Accountant for VA Hospital for 17 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was awarded Meritorious Service Medal (3rd), Army Commendation Medal (4th), Army Achievement Medal (4th), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5th award).
He was involved in American Legion Post 337, Grove First Baptist Church, Garden City Browns Backers, Buckeye Club, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Laura Adam; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Burghardt, Mr. and Mrs. Adam; Uncle Harry Adam; Aunt and Uncle Ray and Eleanor Burghadt.
Scott is survived by his wife, Tammy Taylor Adam; daughter, Samantha Adam Sanders (Greg); brother, Bruce Adam and sisters, Nancy Adam, Karen Burghardt, Nancy Galla.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of American Legion Post 337.

Memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 10th at Grove First Baptist Church with Pastor Sonny Sergney of Grove First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia, January 6, 2023 at 1pm.
