Michael Edward Logan, known to his loved ones as "Mike," passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 75. He was a devoted husband to his sweetheart, Mrs. Teresa "Terri" Logan, for 54 years. Mike was preceded in death by his sons, Brian Patrick Logan “Brian” and Robert Michael Logan “Michael”, as well as his parents, Robert and Barbara Logan.
Mike is survived by his son, Timothy (Marla) Logan, and his dear grandchildren, Christopher (Missy), Johnathan (Chelsea), Anthony, Jacob (Natalie), Christian, Trenton “his buddy”, Aubrey “his girl”. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Logan Patterson (Joe), his niece Betsy (Adam) Langham, and his nephew Ben (Christina) Patterson.
For over 50 years, Mike dedicated his life to his career as a land surveyor in the CSRA and surrounding counties. , where he eventually retired. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to his craft, Mike had a deep passion for his work. Not only was he a skilled surveyor, but he also served as a mentor to his children, grandchildren, and many friends, passing on his knowledge and love for the trade to the next generation. He also worked at Savannah Riversite for a number of years.
He was known for his love of the outdoors and animals, as well as his enjoyment of music and dancing with his darling bride. He instilled in his family the value of hard work and took pleasure in helping others in any way he could. He was known for his toughness, fearlessness, and strength, and he was a man of faith who prayed daily and loved southern gospel hymns.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to St. Jude in honor of Mike's memory.
Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, hard work, and service will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. May he rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in the chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to services.
