Maryann G Ayers

Maryann G. Ayers, 84, of Evans, Georgia, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Maryann was born Jackson Heights, New York to her parents, Alphonse and Mary Thiel, on March 21, 1942. She married Barrett Ayers on January 1, 1983. She did not go to college but opted to work and was fortunate to have a career which allowed her to travel the world.

She worked as a flight Attendant for Delta Airlines for majority of her career started as a flight attendant, then shifted to a gate and ticketing agent for the airline.

She was involved in rescuing and assisting the local shelter with animal adoption. It was there that she met the love of her life, Myah who was trusted Shepard Mix and a trusted companion to Maryann and Barrett. She was very involved in the Brandon Wilde Retirement Community and a trusted friend to many. Maryann loved playing and teaching card games like Canasta, Bridge, and Mahjong

Maryann is preceded in death by her husband Barrett Ayers, her parents, Alphonse and Mary Thiel, and her brother Alphonse Thiel II.

Maryann is survived by her two stepchildren Brenda and Barrett Ayers, and her Nephew, Alphonse A. Thiel III. Memorials may be given to Brandon Wilde 4275 Owens Rd Evans Ga. The family of Maryann wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of her friends and the support staff at Brandon Wilde.
