Mary K. Darnell

Mary K. Darnell, age 94 entered into rest on Saturday, June 26, 2021 following an extended illness.

Mary was born in Benton, Kentucky to the late Orion Henson and Rena Rudolph Henson. She had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed working in her flower garden. Mary was a true matriarch and wanted her family to know she was concerned about them at all times. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Fred Darnell; daughter in law, Julie Darnell; son in law, Danny Johnson; a granddaughter, Sonya Darnell; and brother, Glenn Henson.

She is survived by her three children, Larry Darnell, Dennis Darnell (Maxine), and Marsha Johnson; and her brother, Merrel Henson (Sharon). She was the loving and devoted “Granny” to her two grandchildren, Charles Johnson (Joanne) and Angela Brocato (Trey); and six great grandchildren, Evan Johnson, Emily Johnson, Tyler Griffin, Madison Griffin, Landon Brocato, and Abby Eskew.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Dr. Donald C. Prosser officiating.
