Mary Jane Brown

July 24, 1926 — February 19, 2024

Mary Jane Brown, beloved wife of the late Jehoida Brown, entered into rest on Monday, February 19, 2024 at her residence. She was born to William and Elizabeth Anniky in district of Stepney, St. Ann, Jamaica on July 24th, 1926. Mary Jane married her husband, Jehoida on the 7th June 1950. After her husband, Jehoida, died she moved to the US to be closer to her children. She was a member of Grace Church of the First Born in Florida, and regularly visited New Life Church locally.

She is survived by her children: Lucille (Dalton), Lukie, Cleone, Valerie (Barrington), Rachel (Jeremiah) David, Alford, Meggreta (Michael), Paul, Delroy and Fitzroy, numerous grand, great and great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, in- laws, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Elizabeth and William Anniky, husband Jehoida, daughter Judia and son Lee Chin, her six sisters and four brothers and other relatives.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in the Belair Road Chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home. After the local service, the family will accompany her home to Jamaica for burial at a later date.

Mary Jane lived a well fulfilled life and can join in with the Psalmist David in saying, “With long life will I satisfy him and shew him my salvation.”
