Mary Ann Ergle

Mrs. Mary Ann Ergle, beloved wife of the late Jake Hilton Ergle, entered into rest on Tuesday morning, August 20, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Christ Episcopal Church, 1904 Greene Street, with the Rev. Larry Jesion officiating. Burial will follow at Harlem Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Platt’s Funeral Home, Crawford Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Mary Ann was born in McBean, Georgia to Franklin Thomas and the former Ruth Connell. In 1950, she married Jake Ergle, the love of her life, and they started their family. She was lifelong member of Christ Episcopal and was an active volunteer with the Augusta Senior Citizens Council. After the death of her husband, she moved to St John Towers, and quickly became involved in the social activities offered there.

She is survived by her daughter, Marla Ergle Noseworthy (Gary), her sister, Elizabeth Key, her grandchildren, Julie Holland Warner (Joshua), John Paul Holland (Sydney), Joshua Holland (Lisa), Eric Ergle (Gina) and Cara Oderwald (Devin), in addition to twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake and her son, Benny.

Pallbearers will be John Paul Holland, Joshua Holland, Joshua Warner, Eric Ergle, Cristian Holland and Reece Holland.
