Mary Crews

Mary Lue (Mosley) Crews entered into rest on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at age 80.

Mary was born on December 6, 1944 to parents Dessie and Annie Mosley in Brunswick, Ga.

Mary graduated from Glynn Academy in 1962. Her senior yearbook quote “With a wish to do and a will to try”, described her life fittingly. She had a successful career as a property investor, owning and managing many rental properties in the CSRA.

As stated in her 35 year high school reunion book, Mary described her life’s happening like this: “She is trying to have a good time, by getting the most ultimate pleasure out of life.”

There was not much that Mary was afraid of. She learned to swim in her forties, and then decided she wanted to earn her SCUBA certification, shortly after. She and her family would travel to locations that they could scuba dive together.

Mary enjoyed being in the sun and near the water. She loved to travel with her sweetheart, Leon, exploring near and far. She visited Key West, Hilton Head Island, Hawaii, Bonaire, and Aruba, to name a few. She and Leon even took many long road trips in their motorhome, making memories together.

Mary leaves behind her three loving daughters Lavonda Berryman Hiott, Amanda Berryman Hollimon (Terrell), and Rhonda Berryman Smith; 5 adored grandchildren; Dallton Deal (Nicollette), Madison Drummond, Jorrie Hiott, Mason Drummond, and Nathan Haley; 1 great grandchild Harvey Leon Deal; sisters Annie Ruth Middaugh and Edna Mosley, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her beloved husband Charles Leon Crews, parents Dessie Mosley and Annie Lambert Mosley; brother Donnie Mosley; and nieces Debra Stokes and Linda Johnson.

Mary’s family would like to recognize and show their appreciation to Lily of the Valley PCH, in Evans Ga and for the hospice group, for the wonderful care and support they provided for Mary and the family, during this difficult time .

Funeral services will be held graveside at Bellevue Memorial Gardens in Grovetown, Ga on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Jack Foley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Platt’s Funeral Home in Evans, Ga on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
