Martha Elestine Harrell

Martha “Elestine” Harrell went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at age 83.

An Augusta native, she was born June 9 1941. Everything in her life she loved, she loved wholly and completely. She loved her family, her church, and she loved to dance. She has even been known to dance right out of her shoes! She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Elestine leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters Serecea (Larry) Pace, Beverly (Ric) Hilliard, and Donnis (Bryan) Hilliard; son Donnie Wade Harrell; sister Patricia Huber; grandchildren Cindy Ivey, Chuck Ivey, Trey Pace, April Herring, Amanda Hilliard, Wesley Hilliard, Sellece Harrell, Shana Harrell, Cody Harrell, Landon Harrell and Paige Weeks; and numerous great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her beloved husband Donald “Donnie” Harrell; parents James Pitts and Katherine Quick; stepfather Pete Gregory; sisters Maydean Moore and Gail Herbert; brother Billy Pitts; and grandson Larry Pace Jr.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home, Crawford Ave.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Bible Deliverance Temple, Pastor Jimmy Murray and Jerry Rockefeller officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff of Keysville Nursing Home and a special thanks to Tiffany for her loving care.

Pallbearers will be Kaleb Herring, Larry Pace, Chuck Ivey, Trey Pace, Cody Harrell and Wesley Hilliard.
