Marie Wheatley Hiller

Mrs. Marie Wheatley Hiller, beloved wife of 58 years of the late Frederick “Fred” Hiller,entered into rest on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2026 at McCormick First Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Gulledge officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Marie was one of four children born to Earl and Ida Wheatley. She grew up in Illinois, and it was there that she met a young man named Fred Hiller. They married in 1956, and started a family. Fred’s work at the Monsanto company brought him to the Augusta area in 1978, where they retired. Marie loved spending time in her garden, taking pride in her flowers. She was a member of McCormick Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Diana Housley (John), Dr. James Hiller (Wendi), and Thomas Hiller (Jodi), her brothers, Buryl Wheatley, Earl “Jr” Wheatley (Deloris), and Robert “Bob” Wheatley (Jan), her grandchildren, Rebecca, Brian, Stephen, Brad, Claire, Ava, Lily, Ashley, Chrystal, Amber, Ryan and Dylan, in addition to 22 great grandchildren. Her husband, Fred preceded her in death.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Hough, Brandon Hough, Dylan Hiller, Ryan Berry, Michael Lacey, Damian Frails and Landon Berry.
