Margaret Louise Haines

Margaret Louise Haines, 86, of Evans, Georgia, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 18, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Margaret was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Norris Jacob Kirk and Marvel Scott Kirk on July 11, 1939. She lived a life marked by service, strength, and devotion to others.

Margaret worked as a nurse, caring for others with compassion and dedication. She also honorably served in the United States Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

She will be remembered for her strength, her service, and the love she gave to her family and those around her.

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Haines; Igor Lekhmus and Roberta Lekhmus; five grandchildren, Michael Lekhmus, Brian Lekhmus, Jessa Lekhmus, Danielle Haines, and Colin Carpenter; and six great-grandchildren.

The family of Margaret wishes to extend sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, hospice caregivers, and special persons who cared for Margaret and supported the family.
