Luis Alberto Perez

Evans – Mr. Luis Alberto Perez, 68, beloved husband of 42 years of Sherry Hagberg Perez, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his residence after a hard fought battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date.

Mr. Perez, a 20 year veteran of the United States Army, served in Vietnam and in the Gulf War during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He retired from SRS Westinghouse, and was a devoted husband who loved his family.

In addition to his wife, Sherry, he is survived by his step sons; J. Brian Baynham and Dr. Stephen Baynham (Pamela), his sisters; Rosa Lane (Jerry), Dinah Guilfoyle (Joe) and Arsi Sumpter (Doug), his two grandchildren; Emily Perez Baynham and Brooke Elice Baynham, his brother in law; Gene Hagberg (Juanita), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother; Miguel Diaz.
