Ms Linda Charlene Comstock entered into her heavenly home on April 7, 2026.
Linda was born in Evansville, Indiana to her loving parents, Eldon and Marie Comstock.
Linda earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Indiana University majoring in elementary education with a reading endorsement. She also received an administrative degree.
Linda was a devoted educator working as a teacher and principal for over 27 years in Franklin and Pike Townships. She has worked with countless students, teaching them how to read and develop a love of learning. Over the course of her career, Linda has inspired generations of students in their education and commitment to success.
During retirement, Linda moved to Augusta to be near her family. She quickly became involved in the community where she volunteered as a reading program tutor for adults at Augusta University, as well as serving at crisis pregnancy center as a counselor. Linda went on to receive the servants award from crisis pregnancy center, which she considered her favorite award.
Linda’s faith was important to her, and she was an active member at Warren Baptist Church. She used her love of teaching as she taught a ladies life group. Linda was an avid reader and found joy in helping others grow and develop their relationship with Jesus.
Linda was a devoted mother and ‘mam’ to her nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her children, Lesa Grady (Steve), Trisha Wells (Andrew), sister, Ann Fraser (Steve), grandchildren, Melissa Cook (Ben) Michelle Shaw (Brian), Alex Fath (Bekah), Evan Wells (Elizabeth), Kara Steadman (David), Nathan Wells (Carley), Caleb Wells (Mattie), Kari Wells and Kristin Wells, great grandchildren, Jacobi, Leland, Bella, Jackson, Demi, Ava, Olivia, Emerson, Charlie and Kennedy.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Eldon and Marie, and her great grandson, Andrew.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date in Evansville, Indiana.
