Lieselotte Cato

Lieselotte (Pflüger) "Lilo" Cato, 88, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her home in Martinez, GA.

Lilo was born in Grosslangheim, Germany to the late Otto and Stephanie (Seufert) Pflüger on December 9, 1937. She was a homemaker and spent her time caring for her family and home. Lilo was married to her beloved husband Robert Lee Cato, Sr., SSM (Ret.), for 40 years. Robert preceded her in death.

Lilo was a longtime member of West Acres Baptist Church, where she was involved in the senior adult choir, Sunday School, and nursery. She was also a member of the German American Club, where she enjoyed staying connected to her German heritage and community.

Lilo is survived by her son, Robert "Bobby" Cato, Jr.; daughters, Vivian Cato (partner Mark Battles) and Rosetta Van Hoy (Charles); sisters, Sieglinde Gonzalez and Renate Fleischmann; sister-in-law, Martina Pflüger; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Lilo is preceded in death by her brother, Kurt Pflüger; brothers-in-law, Joe Gonzalez and Hans Fleischmann; and daughter-in-law, Dayna Cato.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Robert Horn, Peter Cato, Kurt Van Hoy, Parker Van Hoy, and Alek Van Hoy.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809.

A funeral service for Lilo will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00am at Platt's Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813.
