Leonard T. Samuels

Augusta, GA---Mr. Leonard T. “Len” Samuels, 90, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Kentwood Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm today Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Westover Memorial Park with Reverend Gary DeMore officiating.
Mr. Samuels was a native of Pittsburgh, PA, but had been a resident of Augusta for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army in the 498th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, in the European Theater. He was past President of the Augusta Board of Realtors and past President of the Georgia Association of Realtors. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and was a former member of the Westlake Country Club. Mr. Samuels was owner of Augusta Realty Company and Morton Construction Company.
Survivors include, his daughters, Paula W. Johannsen, Carol J. Gross and Suzanne P. Hilburn, sons, David R. Wood and Leonard T. Samuels II, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, brother, Morton P. Samuels and special friend, Maxine Roof.
Those desiring to attend the services are asked to meet at Westover Memorial Park.
