Leo Paul Charette

Augusta – Mr. Leo Paul Charette, Sr., 81, husband of Mrs. Inge Charette, entered into rest on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Heartland Hospice.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 2:30 PM at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel, with Randy Kamradt officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Charette was a United States Army veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and was a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He loved golf and was an avid traveler, especially to Senior Bashes throughout the southeast.

In addition to his wife, Inge, he is survived by his sons, Leo Charette, Jr., of Evans, and Dean Charette of Dearing, five daughters, Heidi McDonald of Augusta, Pamela Kamradt and husband, Randy, of Clovis, New Mexico, Jackie Pitoniak and husband, Tracy, of Martinez, JoAnn Ellis of Statesville, North Carolina, and Stephanie Charette of Evans, two brothers, Robert O. Charette of Hartford, Connecticut, and Normand R. Charette of Las Vegas, Nevada, and 12 grandchildren, Brad, Justin, Chris ( Bosco) Alicia, Ricky, Zack, Paul, Katherine, KayCee, Cody, Colton and Corey. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Elmire Charette, two brothers, Roland and Leo Charette.

Pallbearers will be family members, Robert, Normand, Leo ,Dean, Brad, Chris and Paul Charette.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2008 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
