Mrs. Lea A. Funderburg

Martinez – Mrs. Lea A. Funderburg, 58, beloved wife of Lee Funderburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Doctors Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Augusta First Seventh Day Adventist Church with Dr. Earl Richards officiating. The family will greet friends after the service.

Mrs. Funderburg, originally from Rio de Janiero, Brazil, was a champion of health and wellness education for over thirty years, and touched countless lives with her faith and ministry. She was founder and owner of Health Restoring Foods and was a member of Augusta First Seventh Day Adventist Church.

In addition to her husband, Lee, she is survived by her son, Austin Funderburg and her daughter, Erika Mullen and husband, William, as well as four sisters and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund for the Lea Funderburg Institute of Health and Wellness, care of W.L. Funderburg, 4313 Roswell Drive, Martinez, Georgia, 30907. This fund honors her desire, before passing, to found an institute to further health education. She will be forever in our hearts, come quickly Lord Jesus.
