Mr. Larry Rudolph Edmonds, 80, met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2021at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Stockton officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Paige Nobles Edmonds, his three children; William Kyle Edmonds, Eliot Page Edmonds (Kim) and Lael Heather Golding (Tony), his grandchildren; Kieran Edmonds (Melody), Kelsey Edmonds, Jacob Golding and Sophie Golding and a great granddaughter, Lennox Rose Edmonds. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rubye Edmonds, a brother, Ray Edmonds and a sister, Freida Harrison.
Mr. Edmonds was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and the Senior Men’s Bible Class. He had retired from Augusta Coca Cola Bottling Company after 40 years of service. He started out as a route salesman and worked his way through several areas in sales administration. In 1991, he was selected the first Layman of the year for the state of Georgia by the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was an elder in the Christian Church for close to 40 years.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Edmonds, Eliot Edmonds, Kieran Edmonds, Jacob Golding, Tony Golding and Marty Nobles. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Men’s Sunday school class.
