Lanier Savage

Born in Commerce, Georgia, to Coyle and Edna Savage, Lanier Savage has died, age 85.

Lanier retired from Georgia Power after 41 years in Atlanta and Augusta. A hunter and avid golfer, he was above all a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor “Bug” Patterson, and granddaughter, Morgan Taylor Savage.

Surviving are his wife, Henri; son Robert Savage, his wife Courtney, and their children Harrison and Ettabelle; daughter Dr. Beth Savage, her husband Dr. Dave Hageman, and their children Charlie and Sadie; his brother Ernest Roy “Doc” Savage, and his wife Diana; and sisters-in-law Kitty Smith and Judy Griffin.

Please join the family at a visitation on Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Platt's Funeral Home, 337 N. Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809, followed by a celebration of his life.
