Kenneth M. Wardenski, 65, of Augusta, Georgia, formerly of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Allentown on September 28, 1960, Ken was a proud graduate of Penn State University and dedicated over 35 years of his career as a civil engineer with Zel Engineers, which later became Ardurra. Throughout his time in Augusta, he helped shape the community with his thoughtful and meticulous work.
Ken was a true craftsman at heart, always immersed in a home improvement project. Whether renovating a room, building something by hand, or offering a helping hand to friends and neighbors, his passion for creating and fixing was always evident. His quiet determination and attention to detail earned him the admiration of many.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laurie Wardenski; his sister, Karen Wardenski; and his two sons, Thomas Strelecki and Michael Strelecki. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Goch; his father, Joseph Wardenski; and his brother, Joey Wardenski.
Ken will be remembered for his devotion to family, his strong work ethic, and the lasting structures—both literal and personal—he built over a lifetime.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his memory.
