Karen Turner Morris Hall

Augusta, GA – Karen Turner Morris Hall, 61, entered into rest on Friday May 29, 2009. She had been in poor health for the past four years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday June 1, 2009 at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. After the service Karen’s family will receive friends and family at the home of her sister, Lisa Maddox.

Karen was born in LaGrange, Georgia on May 31, 1947 to her late parents Edward Turner and Wylene Turner. Karen was a resident of Augusta for most of her adult life. With her brothers and sisters she was a co-owner of Turners Keyboards. She was a consummate salesman and by way of her profession she brought music into the lives of thousands of Augustans. She was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Karen was loved and respected and she will be sadly missed by her many friends.

She is survived by her children, Neal Morris and wife Anne of New Orleans, LA, Mitchell Jones and husband Robert of Augusta, and Jefferson Morris of Augusta; her siblings, Brenda Strickland and husband Ray of Hoboken, GA, Sherrie Powers of Augusta, Ed Turner Jr. of Augusta, and Lisa Maddox and husband Francis of Augusta; five grandchildren, Journey Jones, Braxton Jones, Natalia Morris, Henry Morris, Owen Morris and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, the late Jefferson Cooper Turner.

The family will receive friends on Sunday May 31, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Platt’s Funeral Home Crawford Ave.
