Joyce Mccoy Borchardt

Mrs. Joyce McCoy Borchardt, wife of the late John Borchardt, entered into rest on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Chaplain Roscoe Perry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Borchardt was a native of California but had made Augusta her home since 1994. She earned her LPN degree in 2011 from Augusta Technical College, where she was awarded membership in the National Technical Honors Society. She was employed by the Columbia County school system as a nurse, and did home health care on weekends with Professional Case Management.

She is survived by her children; Trevor Borchardt and Tracey Borchardt Tranum (Sam), as well as a brother; Larry McCoy. In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents; Robert McCoy and Mary Jane Barush.
