Joseph Richard Davis, Iii

Grovetown, GA – Mr. Joseph Richard Davis III, 62, entered into rest on Tuesday February 1, 2011 at his residence.

Born in Augusta on October 13, 1948, Mr. Davis served in the United States Navy from 1968-1970. He worked for the Board of Education for 9 years as a bus mechanic before he started driving trucks. He was a resident of Grovetown since 2003.

He is survived by his 5 children Joseph R. Davis IV (Ashley), William C. Davis (Kristen), Tammy Strickland (Michael), Donna Harden and Gena Price; 11 grandchildren and his ex-wife Linda K. White.

Family will receive friends on Monday February 7, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Platt’s Funeral Home.
