Joseph D. Joey Simpson

Mr. Joseph D. “Joey” Simpson, 53, beloved husband of Lisa M. Simpson, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at New Hope Worship Center with Rev. Rich Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his wife, Lisa, he is survived by his daughters; Olivia and Anna Simpson, his parents; Dale and Gerrie Simpson, a brother, Gary Simpson (Anita), a sister, Tonya Foster (Matthew) and his father in law, William Landrum, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Owen Jackson, Roger Gardner, Billy Hickey and Jerry Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers will be the board members of New Hope Worship Center.

The family will receive friends at the Platt’s Belair Road Chapel on Saturday afternoon, October 27, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
