Jones E. Nalley Jr

SSG Jones E. Nalley Jr., USA Ret., made his final move into the city of heavenly gold on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Ben Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Jones was a proud veteran of the US Army and retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He then went on to retire from the Medical College of Georgia’s Dental School. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #205.
Jones was a loving, devoted father and husband. He was a kindhearted, generous man who would help others without a second thought. His sense of humor and “dad jokes” brightened even the darkest days.
Sarge (or Shorty) enjoyed bowling, fishing, shooting the breeze and putzing around the kitchen. He often would wow family and friends with creative culinary treats. He loved football and spent many years coaching pee wee teams.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa, his children; Michele Hutto (James Hutto, Jr.), Jones E. Nalley III (Rebecca Nalley), Jason Blaxton and Heather Blaxton, his grandchildren, Andrew Nalley, James Hutto III, Kayleigh Nalley, Autumn Nalley, McKenzie Nalley and Jones E. Nalley IV, as well as his sister, Nancy Nalley-Andrysco and sister in law, Fern Nalley. He was proceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Nalley, his grandson, Forrest Hutto and his brothers, Steve and Billy Nalley.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, August 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
