John Morrison Wilcox

John Morrison “Jack” Wilcox passed away June 13, 2025 in Evans, GA at the age of 89. Jack was born August 27, 1935 in Decatur, IL to Orval and Rena (Morrison) Wilcox. He married Louise “Mitzi” Egger on March 7, 1957 in Springfield, IL. Jack worked as an electrician at A.E. Staley for 37 years before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, and built several homes for him and his family.

Jack is survived by his wife Mitzi, his son Chris (Maya) and daughter Michelle (David) Carr, his grandchildren Sara Carr and Jesse Wilcox and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helen (George) Smith, his brothers Ralph (Helen), Warren (Doris), and Wayne, and nephews Doug Wilcox, Larry Wilcox, and Jimmy Smith.
