John Wesley Penrow

AUGUSTA- Mr. John Wesley Penrow, 58, beloved husband of J.J. Penrow, entered into rest on Monday, August 08, 2011 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at The Sanctuary Church with the Rev. Bryan Cockrell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Penrow was a native of Keysville, Ga., and an Air Force veteran. He was a beloved friend and co worker at Solvay Advanced Polymers, where he worked for 27 years as an instrument tech, and later as a maintenance supervisor. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, daddy and papa.

In addition to his wife, J.J., he is survived by his children, Shannon Kneece (Mark), December Penrow, Ashley Geisen (Thomas), Miranda Riska, Heather Neal (Dale), and Shon Bailey (Cindy), and 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Freddie Penrow (Norma) and a sister, Maxine Hunt, an adopted sister in law, Millie Murray, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Sara Penrow, and his siblings, Oscar Penrow and Irene Olsen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, August 10, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.
