John Flynn Hayes

John Hayes passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his sons; Andrew Mettler Hayes Ph.D., (Emily) and grandson Quinn Aladist Hayes of Littleton Co., Jeffrey Edwin Hayes of Augusta, GA and grandson Gavin Malachi Hayes of Wilmington, NC and brother Dr. David F. Hayes (Kathleen) of Orchard Park, NY and Vero Beach, FL.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Karen Mettler Hayes, parents Marianna Flynn and Malachi Eugene Hayes, his sister Mary Patricia Hayes and brother Malachi Eugene Hayes Jr. 

He retired from DSM Resins, US, Inc.

A Memorial Service will be conducted by Father Jacob Almeter at 11 AM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 North Belair Road, Evans, GA 30809.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lydia Project, 1369 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909.
