Jimmie Leonard Adams, 85, of Augusta, Ga, entered into rest on September 8, 2024. He was born on September 10, 1938, and lived a full life marked by love, service, and passion.

A service celebrating Jimmie’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in the chapel at Warren Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery in Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

Jimmie is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Linda Carter Adams; his two sons, Brian Keith Adams (Karen Adams) and Kenneth Wayne Adams (Charonne Adams); and his cherished grandchildren, Brian Adams (Charlee Adams), Breanna Adams (Jesse Clark), Ansley George (James George), Kelsey Coletta (Michael Coletta), and Hallie Adams. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Emma Claire Coletta and Henry George. Jimmie’s love extended beyond his family to his loyal canine companion, Jake, who brought joy and comfort to his daily life.

Jimmie was a graduate of Leavelle McCampbell High School in Graniteville, SC. A devoted member of Warren Baptist Church, Jimmie served faithfully as a deacon and Bible study fellowship leader, touching countless lives with his wisdom and heart for ministry. He was also known for his love of cars, proudly owning a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and becoming a proud member of the Gas Car Club.

Jimmie found joy in life’s simple pleasures, spending countless hours fishing for bass on Clarks Hill Lake, teaching his boys and his grandchildren the art of fishing. He and his wife, Linda, loved traveling across the United States, making memories that will be treasured forever.

Jimmie's warmth, kindness, and passion for life will be deeply missed, but his legacy of faith, family, and friendship will live on through all who knew and loved him.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Koinonia Life Group.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Garden City Ministry, 828 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA, 30901 or Broad Street Ministry, 20 Broad Street, Augusta, GA, 30901 in honor of Jimmie’s dedication to his community and his love of the outdoors.
