Jesse E. Johnson, Jr.

Augusta, GA – On January 12, 2013, at Trinity Hospital, Jesse Edgeworth Johnson, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Darrell Morgan officiating.

Jesse was born in Augusta to Jesse E. and Mildred Mitchell Johnson. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1964 and attended Augusta College. Jesse was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union #150, John S. Davidson F. & A. Masonic Lodge, and Southwind Fellowship Church in Aiken. He retired from the VA Hospital, and was ordained a United Methodist minister.

Survivors include two children by his first wife, the late Rose Robertson, Jennifer K. Johnson of Martinez and Jesse E. Johnson, III (Amanda) of North Charleston, SC; his mother, Mildred M. Johnson of Augusta; his sister, Mikki Martin (Tim); and a granddaughter, Sophea Rose Johnson.
