Jeannine B. Cadle, age 88 entered into rest on Saturday, December 26, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19 that she and her daughter Becky both contracted. Becky and her mother, who passed away less than a week apart from each other, were truly best friends and companions.

She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Scott (Lisa) and Michael Scott, both of Augusta; nine grandchildren, Ashlyn Fox (Jon), Amy Parker (Chris), Lori Fox (Justin), Keith Scott (Allison), Mark Scott (April), Krissy Shaw (David), Michael Scott (Chastity), Heather Scott, and Holley Santagata (Louis); 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Irby of Augusta; niece Beverly Wooten (Marty) of Martinez and a nephew David Woolsey (Thumb) of Martinez.
Jeannine will be laid to rest along with her daughter, Anna Rebecca “Becky” Matthews at Hillcrest Memorial Park in a private service.

During this time, the family truly appreciates the outpouring of love shown to them.  However, during the service the family asks that social distancing guidelines and the use of facial coverings be respected to help mitigate the spread of the virus that claimed the lives of these two amazing women.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Meme, as she was most affectionately known, was the center of our world and the head of our family. She wasn’t just our Meme, she was everyone’s Meme. She had a heart of gold and made an impact on everyone she met. She never met a stranger. Her strength in the face of adversity is unmatched. Her greatest love in life was her family. She loved each of us unconditionally and with all her heart. She had a laugh, or should we say cackle that could even make a stranger start laughing. She was our biggest inspiration and our biggest fan. The memories we have from our beach trips, mountain trips & our casual sleepovers will forever live on with each of us. It was not uncommon for us to call & say we’re sleeping at Meme’s tonight, even as grown adults with our own children. The love she had for her grandchildren & great-grandchildren is a legacy we hope will always be remembered. Our Meme will live forever in our hearts. Forever her precious dotties…..
