James Virgil Dunz

SSG James V. Dunz (US Army RET), beloved husband of Tracy Dunz, entered into rest on Friday, March 19, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

James was a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and a true patriot who served in both the US Marine Corps and the US Army. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

In addition to his wife, Tracy, he is survived by his four sons, JR Dunz (Heather), Jonathan Dunz (Renee), Jeremy Dunz (Brooke) and Jared Dunz (Lexy), his grandchildren, Andre, Josiah, EJ, Abigail and Lillian, as well as his brothers and sister-in-law, John Dunz, Robert Dunz (Diane) and Anita, and his nieces and nephew, Jessica, Jordan and Corey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Barbara Dunz and his infant daughter, Jennifer Nicole Dunz.
