James Logan Murrell, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Mr. James Logan Murrell, Jr., 89 beloved husband of the late Agnes Hearon Murrell entered into rest on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Brian LaFavor officiating. Interment to follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Mr. Murrell was a former member of Lake Park Baptist Church and current member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church where he served as an adult Sunday School Teacher. He also served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a Mason. Mr. Murrell will be remembered as a good father and grandfather.

Mr. Murrell is survived by his daughter, Frances Murrell; his two sons, Mike and Ken Murrell; and by his three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, November 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
