James "Jimmy" Broadwater

September 26, 1939 — June 11, 2021

James “Jimmy” Broadwater, 81, entered into rest on Friday, June 11, 2021.

An Augusta native, he was born to the late Thomas and Pauline Broadwater on September 26, 1939. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County high school in 1959. Jimmy was a member at Warren Baptist Church and a past member at Curtis Baptist Church. He retired from International Paper, and was a proud Navy veteran.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Malissa; two sons Stephen Broadwater (Orlanda) and Phillip Broadwater; four grandchildren Alissa, Hunter, Madison, and Emily; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Pauline; brothers Thomas Broadwater Jr, Billy Broadwater, Robert Broadwater; and sister Pauline Russell.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Platt’s Belair Road.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm Monday, June 14, 2021 at Westover Memorial Park, with Reverend Tom Lowry officiating.
