Irvin Lee Grant

Irvin Lee Grant of Clarks Hill, SC, entered into rest peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at age 93.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Grant; sons Mark Lee Grant (Nancy), David Michael Grant (Pam), John Robert Grant (Laurie), and Glenn Patrick Grant (Greg); daughters Ann Grant Barbare (Donnie) and Stephanie Platt (Matthew); grandchildren Kristen, Elizabeth, Caroline, Katie, Sarah, Amy, Jennifer, Atura, Jaron, Brenna, Graham, Arthur, Rose, and Madison; and great grandchildren Grant , Asher, Tyler, Luke, William, Sadie, Kinslee, Austin, Audrick, and Aurora. He is preceded in death by his parents Irvin Grant, Lois and Larry Perkins, and grandson Michael.

Irvin was known as the Handathon man as a Toyota dealer in Ft. Pierce Florida. Then in the 1990’s, he moved to Georgia where he opened two car dealerships, first one in Thomson and later one in Waynesboro.

A memorial service celebrating Irvin’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Platt’s Funeral Home, Belair Road Chapel, Pastor Tom Kalliokoski officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
