Inge E. Bennett

Inge E. Bennett, 86, of Grovetown, GA, passed away on May 25, 2022 in the comfort of her own home.

She was born in Kassel, Germany on July 11, 1935. She married Paul Bennett after a serendipitous meeting outside a movie theater.

Inge was a homemaker who spent her days making scrumptious five course meals three times a day. She belonged to the Augusta Twirlers square dancers. She enjoyed shopping nearly every day. Gardening and flowers were a passion and she loved animals, specifically poodles.

Inge is survived by her loving husband of 65 years; daughters, Linda Cliett and Patty (Mike) Yohe; grandchildren, Jimmy (Amanda) Cliett, Chris Cliett, Toni (Talha) Khan, Kyle (Brittany) Yohe and Brian (Ali) Yohe; great-grandchildren, Noora Khan, Humza Khan, Hunter Yohe, Mason Yohe, Carson Yohe, Trinity Yohe and soon to be, Tatum Yohe; longtime friend, Judy Campbell and dog, KiKi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Inge’s honor to the Humane Society or an animal supportive charity of your choosing.

The Bennett family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at ProMedica Hospice that dedicated their time caring for Inge over the last two years.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 11:30am – 1pm at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809. Funeral services will follow at 1pm. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Arrangements are by Platt’s Funeral Home.
