Augusta, GA – Mr. Harold Mobley, 83, beloved husband of fifty years to the late Mrs. Helen Bailey Mobley, entered into rest on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday January 15, 2009 in Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Mobley was born July 31, 1925 in Jackson County, GA. He was the son of the late Hoyt and Wilma O’Kelley Mobley. Mr. Mobley had been a resident of Augusta since 1931. He was educated in the public schools of Richmond Co. and was retired from the Graniteville Company in 1993. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta.
Survivors include his sister, Ellen Mobley Richards and husband, Jack of Augusta; his brother, Leonard Mobley and wife, Marion of Aiken, SC.; two sister in laws, Barbara Welch of Augusta and Clara Bailey Lopez of Whippany, NY.; his brother in law, Dr. Ed Bailey of Augusta; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Mobley was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Mobley Padgett of Augusta; his two brothers, Allen Mobley of Augusta and the late Russell Mobley of Nashville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Mike Mosner, Harold Tiller, John D. Reynolds III, M.D., Lovelace McDonald, Thomas E. Bailey, Jr., MD. and Ron Welch

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 15, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
