Guy Henry Seymour Jr., 78, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Guy was born on May 27, 1947, in Elberton, Georgia. He grew up in the small town of Dewy Rose, Georgia where he went to school and helped with the family grocery store. He attended the University of Georgia and received a B.S. in Chemistry. He later returned to the University of Georgia where he received his pharmacy degree. He practiced pharmacy in the Atlanta area for 30 years. Guy attended John Marshall Law School in Atlanta and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1997. He built a respected career as an attorney, practicing first in Atlanta and later in Augusta, Georgia, His work was defined by his integrity, dedication and a deep sense of responsibility to the people he served.
For 43 years, he and Angie built a life defined by partnership, laughter, and unwavering love. Their love lived in the everyday moments—shared routines, quiet conversations, and the deep comfort of simply being together.
He was the gentle center of his family. Nothing brought him more joy than his three children and eight precious grandchildren—his “gooses,” as he lovingly called them. He never missed a chance to make them laugh, cheer them on, or hold them close. He had a simple love for life’s sweetest pleasures: a bowl of ice cream, the peace of his garden, trips near and far, and any moment spent with the people he cherished most. His love for his family was the heartbeat of his days, and his presence will be forever felt in every memory they share.
Even during his illness, he showed remarkable courage and grace. He faced each day with the same quiet resilience he carried throughout his life, surrounded by the love of the family he cherished.
Mr. Seymour is survived by his wife, Angie Seymour, sons, Marcus Seymour (Ayesha Suneja-Seymour) and Mitchell Seymour (Elyse), daughter, Kaitlin Bryant (Adrian), grandchildren, Karlie Bryant, Jahseh Gonzalez-Rosa, Amani Bryant, Marrok Seymour, Kaidan Bryant, Kylar Bryant, Isabelle Seymour, Chloe Seymour, and, brother, Walt Seymour, sister, Linda Byers, and many nieces and nephews.
