SFC Gregory Martin Picart (Ret USA)

Gregory Martin Picart, 47 entered into eternal rest Augusta 28, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Gregory was born November 26, 1978 in Utica, New York to Carmen Picart and Gregorio Picart.

He was raised by a large loving family who filled his life with love, laughter and faith. He joined the military and retired after 23 years of proud service. He loved fiercely and lived his life fully always thinking of others, especially his family.

Preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother Abraham and Elsa Santiago whom he cherished, and fondly talked about.

Gregory was survived by his mother Carmen Picart, whom he loved with all his heart and soul, his love his wife Mandy Picart and cherished children Antonio, Jasmin, Alexis, Mya, and Christian. Also surviving his sister Julia Picart and his two nephews Julian and Jordan. In addition, he leaves his brother and sister Abby and Gregory Picart. He was also survived by his treasured aunts and uncles , Nelson Santiago, Abraham Santiago Jr., Miriam Santiago, Antonio Santiago, Domingo Santiago, Elsa Santiago, Jesus Santiago, Robert Santiago, Yolanda Santiago and Francisco Santiago. Gregory will be remembered and cherished by all his family, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends

In lieu of flowers or donations, Gregory would ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or day. Time waits for no one.

A celebration of Gregory’s life will be held from 1p.m. - 3p.m. Thursday September 3, 2026 at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N Belair Road, Evans GA 30809
