Greg Zurkin

Augusta, GA – Greg Zurkin, 58, husband of Mrs. June R. Zurkin, entered into rest on Friday, January 22, 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 6:00 PM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Additional survivors include his father, Igor Zurkin of Lanham, MD; a daughter Claudia Zurkin, two brothers, Nikita Zurkin of Huntsville, AL, Michael Zurkin of Lanham, MD; a brother in law, Robin Ridlehoover (Connie) of Augusta, GA, three sister in laws, Kathy Sutton (Bryan) of Augusta, GA, Judy Keefe (William) of Augusta, GA , Gina Mason (Warren) of St. Joseph, MI, and two grandchildren, Steve and Nina.

Mr. Zurkin is preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Zurkin.

Born on February 7, 1951 and a resident of Augusta for 30 years. Mr. Zurkin was a Retired Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army for 20 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, 1105-D Fury’s Lane ,Augusta, Georgia 30907.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
