Gloria Stanley

Mrs. Gloria Stanley, beloved wife of the late Ronnie Stanley, entered into rest on Friday evening, March 22, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024, in the Belair Road chapel of Platt’s Funeral Home with Pastor Baxter Stanley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Gloria, a native of Augusta, was a cosmetologist for 40 years, working at various shops in the area. She liked working in her yard, enjoyed scary movies, gospel music and truly cared for her cats, and any other hungry stray animal that made its way to her door. Her faith was important to her, and she lived it daily. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Ken Stanley (Nan) and Ronald Wade Stanley, her sister, Jennifer Powell (Gary), her grandchildren, Joseph Stanley (Jordyn), Chelcy LaMotte (Ryan) and Rhett Stanley (Cari Jess Heinz) and a great grandchild, Theo Stanley.

In addition to her husband, Ronnie, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Rusty Gordon, Danny Cousart and Cindy Kitchens.
