Gladys Schlein Parkman

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Gladys Schlein Parkman, 95, wife of the late Mr. B. F. Parkman, Jr., entered into rest on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Keysville Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at West View Cemetery.

She was a native of Augusta and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.

She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Bubber Parkman, and Melvin Parkman.

Survivors include one son, Richard E. Parkman of Augusta, GA; one daughter, Johanna P. James and husband Eakes James of Augusta, GA; eight grandchildren, Daniel I. James, Richard M. “Ricky” James, Wanda Boone, Julie Spires, Amy Flake, Jana Causy, Richard “Rick” Parkman, Joy Deas; and numerous great grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Dennis Seago, Stevie Schlein, James Schlein, Mike Medlock, Charlie Schlein, Ricky James.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
