George Wayne Cox

Evans, GA – George Wayne Cox, 59, loving husband of 40 years to Katie D. Cox, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 20, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Dave Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

George loved spending time with his family and friends. He worked at Cranston Engineering for 40 years and truly loved his job. He was an avid golfer and was well known for his easy going personality. George attended Stevens Creek Community Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter, Stephany Cox Squillace and husband Ralph of Evans, GA, one brother, William W. Cox and wife Jackie of Martinez, GA, two grandchildren, Megan and Chandler Squillace both of Evans, GA. George was preceded in death by his parents, the late George W. and Helen J. Cox, one brother, the late James W. Cox, two sisters, the late Elizabeth Osborn and the late Betty Jo Osborne.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Usry, Ralph Squillace, Scott Adams, Larry Mills, Jonathan Nicholson, and Johnny Attaway.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
